ABOUT ME
I GREW UP IN TEGUCIGALPA, HONDURAS THE DAUGHTER OF SCOTT AND MIMI CROOK. I AM THE OLDEST OF THREE GIRLS. I STARTED PLAYING TENNIS AT THE AGE OF 6. AT FIRST IT WAS JUST ANOTHER SPORT I PLAYED, ALONG WITH SOCCER AND BASKETBALL, UNTIL ONE DAY MY PARENTS ASKED ME IF I WANTED TO BE GOOD AT SEVERAL SPORTS OR REALLY GOOD AT ONE. I DECIDED TO TAKE MY CHANCES AND PURSUED TENNIS SERIOUSLY. AS A JUNIOR PLAYER I TRAINED AND COMPETED INCESSANTLY FOR MANY YEARS. THERE WERE INJURIES ALONG THE WAY, HEARTACHE, WINS AND LOSSES.
IN 2012 AFTER AN EMOTIONAL AND DIFFICULT DECISION MY FAMILY DECIDED TO MOVE TO THE STATES. MY PARENTS CHOOSE ARIZONA AND WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT HERE. MY SENIOR YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL I TORE MY ACL AND DECIDED THAT I WAS GOING TO TAKE A YEAR OFF TO REHAB IT. DURING THAT TIME I TRAVELED, WORKED AS A TENNIS ASSISTANT AND BECAME A WEALTH STRATEGIST.
THE FOLLOWING YEAR I WAS THE RECIPIENT OF A TENNIS SCHOLARSHIP AND IN MAY OF 2018 I GRADUATED FROM ABILENE CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY. AFTER COLLEGE I DECIDED TO MOVE BACK TO ARIZONA WHERE I HAVE BEEN PURSUING SEVERAL OF MY PASSIONS. I LOVE TENNIS SO NATURALLY I BECAME A TENNIS PROFESSIONAL. SHORTLY AFTER THAT I WAS INTRODUCED TO PICKLEBALL AND HAVEN’T BEEN ABLE TO SET MY PADDLE DOWN!
